Yiqiang Xie, born in November 1972, is a member of the Communist Party of China and holds a Ph.D. in Medical Science. He is a Second-Class Professor and doctoral supervisor. Currently,
he serves as a Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee of Hainan Medical University, Director of the Organization Department, and Party Committee Secretary of the Second Affiliated Hospital.
He is also a member of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Programs under the Ministry of Education,
and serves as the Lead Academic of Hainan Province’s Key Discipline of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In addition, he leads Hainan’s first "Double Hundred" Talent Team and has been recognized as a Leading Talent in Hainan Province, a Hainan Nanhai Eminent Scholar, an Outstanding Contributor in Hainan Province, a first-tier candidate in the Hainan 515 Talent Program, a recipient of
the Hainan Provincial May Fourth Youth Medal, and an Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker in Hainan Province.
He holds several key academic and professional roles, including Vice Chairman of the Health Preservation Branch of the China Association of Chinese Medicine,
Vice President of the Endocrinology Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, President of the Li Medicine Branch of the China National Ethnic Medicine Association,
and Vice President of the Hainan Association of Chinese Medicine, where he also chairs the Collateral Disease Committee.
His long-term research focuses on the basic and clinical study of traditional Chinese medicine in preventing and treating endocrine, metabolic,
and kidney diseases. He has led four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and three provincial-level research projects in Hainan.
To date, he has published more than 200 academic papers, including 41 SCI-indexed articles with a highest impact factor of 40. He has also authored or co-authored 25 books,
seven of which are national planning textbooks in which he served as deputy editor.
