Research institute of clinical medicine of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University was founded in 2019 on December 26, it’s an academic research institution engaged in clinical and basic research. Its purpose is to provide professional technical support for all kinds of clinical research within the hospital, train excellent clinical research professionals, promote the development of clinical research in our hospital, and improve the level of clinical research and innovation ability.

The institute is located on the second floor of no. 15 building of the second affiliated hospital of hainan medical university (staff passageway, 2nd floor, contact number: 0898-66809299). It covers an area of about 1000 square meters, including clinical laboratory (tissue matching and blood drug concentration testing), molecular biology laboratory and cell culture room. Existing high-speed refrigerated centrifuge, enzyme standard instrument, fluorescent inverted phase contrast microscope, gel imager, PCR, ultra-low temperature freezer and other advanced equipment, instrument assets worth about 4 million yuan, have to engage in a variety of associated, blood drug concentration detection, cell culture, immunohistochemistry, Western Blot, rt-pcr and ELISA molecular and biochemical experiments.

The institute of clinical medicine is the public research platform of the second affiliated hospital of hainan medical university. The research team combines researchers and clinicians from various disciplines including laboratory science, basic medicine, molecular biology and pathology. In the team, there are 2 professors, 1 researcher, 4 research technicians, and 4 doctoral degree holders. It provides a scientific, standardized and convenient operation platform for the hospital to carry out clinical research projects, experimental teaching and postgraduate training.

In accordance with the needs of clinical work and disease prevention and treatment, the institute of clinical medicine promotes development through scientific research, serves the clinic and patients, and strives to become a first-class research institution in China.

Doctors

Yu Xiaohua, male, born in Shaoyang city, Hunan province in June 1978, m.d., is currently the director of the institute of clinical medicine, the second affiliated hospital of Hainan medical university, specializing in the etiology and pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. So far, he has published a total of more than 70 scientific papers in the 《Prog Lipid Res》、《Atherosclerosis》、《Circ J》、《Immunol Cell Biol》、《Adv Clin Chem》、《Clin Chim Acta》、《Chinese journal of internal medicine》, 《Chinese journal of pediatrics》and so on. These include 32 SCI articles, 1 ESI highly cited paper (reference 278), a single paper the highest impact factor is 12.54, the paper cited a total of 800 times. Presided over 5 provincial department level projects, participated in 4 national natural science foundation projects, participated in the compilation of two monographs, also served as the reviewer of 《Biochim Biophys Acta Mol Basis Dis》, 《Biomed Pharmacother》, 《Phytomedicine》, 《Int J Endocrinol》 and other journals.
