Overview

Emergency Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University is located on the west side of the first floor of the building 2 and 3 of the main building of the hospital, it is also a multi-center emergency large platform of chest pain, stroke, trauma and bleeding, and a first-aid department. The area of the Special Service is 4,853.8M2. There are 74 beds actually open, and there are pre-hospital emergency (9 ambulances) , emergency Clinic (6 emergency beds) , emergency hybrid operating room, emergency ICU (12 beds) , emergency general ward (56 beds for internal medicine and trauma surgery) . There are 34 doctors, including 4 chief doctors and 5 deputy chief doctors, 26% of senior staff, 12 attending doctors and 8 master's degree, accounting for about 24% , and 62 nurses, including 3 deputy chief nurses. The structure of the building is relatively complete, pre-hospital-hospital-operating room-intensive-care unit integrated management, emergency radiation area, adjacent auxiliary departments (CT, color ultrasound, pharmacy, fees, testing) complete. Equipped with advanced first aid equipment, such as transshipment ECMO, transshipment ventilators, PICCO instrument, multifunctional ventilators, CRRT machines, etc. The key physician in the department can perform tracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation, bedside blood purification and hemoperfusion, PICCO Hemodynamics monitoring, ECMO treatment, etc. Emergency Trauma Ward can carry out limb bone, abdomen, brain and other parts of surgery. There are more than 70,000 emergency calls and more than 2,000 rescues every year, with a success rate of over 90% , it includes rescuing severe multiple injury, cardiac arrest, resuscitation, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, severe Sepsis, shock of various types, severe acute pancreatitis, Malignant Arrhythmia, aspiration failure, severe acute poisoning, etc. . The emergency department is one of the professional bases for the training of emergency residents, which is responsible for the standardized training of emergency residents, training and transporting a number of qualified emergency residents. The medical staff of the department took part in 5 first aid skills competitions of Hainan province and 2017 poisoning skills competitions of Hainan Province, and obtained excellent results such as theory examination, tracheal intubation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, first and second prizes.
