Clinical practice is centered around core areas including end-stage heart failure (the only unit in the province routinely performing heart transplants), aortic diseases (covering both open surgeries and endovascular interventions; the unit with the highest case volume for aortic dissection treatment in the province), coronary artery disease (routinely performing various coronary artery bypass graft surgeries), valvular heart disease (encompassing valve replacement, repair, and minimally invasive procedures), congenital heart disease (covering minimally invasive interventions and open surgeries; the earliest unit in the province to initiate charitable救助 programs for congenital heart disease), and extracorporeal life support (utilizing advanced technologies and equipment such as IABP, ECMO, and CRRT). Relying on a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach, the department provides personalized, full-cycle medical services to patients, achieving the strategic goal of enabling "Major Cardiovascular Diseases to be Treated Within Hainan Island."
