The department has routinely carried out ABO blood type positive and negative stereotypes, RhD/C/E blood group analysis, incomplete antibody screening, salt water and special medium cross-matching blood test, and carried out pregnant women IgG antibody titer detection and neonatal hemolytic disease. Screening can identify difficult blood types and analyze and deal with difficult blood combinations.Special blood treatment for blood transfusion provides clinical leukocyte blood, which greatly reduces the incidence of non-hemolytic fever reaction; carries out autologous blood transfusion, effectively solves the problem of blood transfusion treatment for patients with rare blood type and difficult blood matching, and saves blood;It also cooperates with clinically performed plasma exchange and neonatal exchange transfusion.

Actively carrying out scientific research and teaching. In addition to carrying out blood transfusion work, the department also carried out the teaching work of the Department of Inspection and the undergraduate students of the Medical Department of Hainan Medical University, and also undertaked the teaching work of students from other institutions who came to our institute for internship. Since its establishment seven years ago, the Department of Transfusion has completed the Natural Science Foundation of Hainan Province and won the second prize of Hainan Provincial Science and Technology Achievements. It is carrying out a research project of the Hainan Provincial Health Planning Commission, in the Chinese Medical Association series of magazines, Chinese core journals and there are more than ten articles published in statistical source journals.
